Mommy & Me-Take 127

We are officially a family of four (eight if you count the fur babies)! The last and final bump picture with Morgan when I was 39w5d-ish (I had a few different due dates) pregnant. We didn’t know when I took it she would be born 11 hours later.m&m127

Wednesday July 22, 2015 at 7:54pm Morgan Marie was born at Katy Birth Center. She weighed 7lbs 8.5oz and was 21” long. It was an absolutely amazing and empowering birth, but I will wait until we have the birth photographer pictures to tell her birth story. After getting her statistics, checking her vitals and me and the Hubs eating some much needed food, I relaxed in an herb bath with Morgan at the birth center.m&m127b

Natalie and Melissa were our midwives for Morgan’s birth (they were there for Logan’s as well) as well as Chelsea, an apprentice, and Jackie, a midwife visiting from California. We can’t express how grateful we are for these women. m&m127c

Me and the Hubs with Morgan before we went home (we were home before midnight and resting in our own bed!).m&m127d

Logan stayed with Grandma Wednesday night so we had her meet Morgan first thing Thursday morning. m&m127e

I had planned to make a zero birthday cake for Morgan with Logan’s help during early labor. The time of day and swiftness of my progression didn’t allow for it. Saturday morning Logan and I made the best zero birthday cake ever for Morgan. Logan was so thrilled to wish Morgan a Happy Birthday and even tried to share some sprinkles with her baby sister. m&m127g

It’s been a crazy week (if you can’t tell by my 4 day late post!) but everyone is adjusting well and giving Morgan as many kisses as possible!m&m127h

Welcome to the Milkshake family, Morgan! You are so very vErY VERY loved!
