Mommy & Me-Take 153

This pretty much sums up the power struggle in the Milkshake household. Logan has MommaE on a leash…yep. m&m153e

She earned these necklaces when she used the potty, and Grandma helped her loop them all together. What better way to use them than as a leash for MommaE? She was giggling and having a great time ‘walking’ me.m&m153f

On the topic of potty training: Logan is doing great with #1. We put her on the potty and she goes. At home she will let us know when she needs to go, but when we are out and about we just take her every hour to hour and a half. I know she will get better as she gets older. #2 is a whole different situation. She was doing fantastic with it a few months ago, and now she just won’t go #2 on the potty. At school she likes to go when they are playing outside then tells her teachers once she has already done the deed in her panties. Yesterday, the teachers brought her inside early because she had not gone yet. They sat her on the potty and she went #1, told them she was all done and did not need to go #2. Less than 60 seconds later, while she was washing her hands, she went #2. We have tried a few things at home on the weekend, but she just isn’t relaxing…yet she can relax enough to go while standing up washing her hands?!?! We are trying not to fret over it BUT she cannot move to the next class until she is potty trained. If you remember we started working on this back in June…and she was doing great but school insisted on pull-ups and it set her back quite a bit. Any tips or advice are greatly welcome. She needs to move to the next class because the younger kiddos are being moved into the class she is currently in and she is ready for more advanced instruction.

Back to the amazing weather and wonderful sunshine that allows for picnics after school.  m&m153g

Being outside wore her out!m&m153d

Our Saturday morning.m&m153h

This past week, Morgan realized when people hold her and they are not Momma or Daddy…and that is NOT ok with her. Me or the Hubs quickly swoop in to ‘save her’ and I love the way she loves us and wants only us.m&m153i

Whether you’re buried under 4 feet of snow, or rocking shorts and tank tops, I hope you had a wonderful week.

Comments

  1. Scarlett has had some serious stranger danger lately… but not for my parents. It was a little extreme for my in-laws, though!

  2. No potty suggestions except to hold off for a bit until she’s ready.

    Now..about that leash…
