Mommy & Me-Take 176

Morgan woke up on the 4th of July with the a massive poopsplosion and started her morning with a bath. Not a fun way to start a holiday. After everything was cleaned up she wanted to snuggle and hold her breakfast, but not eat it. m176

Then she got a glimpse of the Hubs smoothie (spinach, kale, chia seeds, strawberries blueberries, banana and orange juice) and quickly drank at least 10 oz. She took a nap and we woke her up to go to the Children’s Museum. The Hubs opened the door and said ‘OH GOODNESS! HELP! Ummm, I need HELP!’ Morgan had puked up the ENTIRE smoothie right as we parked at the museum. It was dripping from her and the car seat, but did not smell bad (phew). She seemed in good spirits so we went into the museum and had a great time. m176e

We left around lunch time, and all was well on the way home until Logan spotted a gnat above her head. She is scared terrified of flying insects, especially flies. I had to jump in the back of the van (I realize this is unsafe) to help calm her down. I gave her a lollipop and music on my phone and she still would barely open her eyes. We are trying to help her get over this fear but it’s going to take some time. m176h

Morgan felt better throughout the day, but when it came to bedtime she did not want me to put her in her crib. She hasn’t fallen asleep on me in forever so it was really nice to snuggle her and breathe in her curly hair sweet baby smell. m176i

We had a playdate a few weeks ago and the only way my friend could get Logan to come inside (because she was too hot) was to show her pictures on her phone. One of the pictures was a blow up pool with a slide her daughters use in their backyard. Logan has asked me EVERYDAY about going to their house to go on the ‘slide pool’. Unfortunately, they live an hour away so going over there hasn’t been possible lately. I told Logan we would go look for our own ‘slide pool’ on Saturday. We went to Academy and they were sold out. I saw some at Sam’s earlier in the week, but did not buy it because we have the water park season passes and didn’t know if it would be used. So we went to Sam’s…and they didn’t have any where I had spotted them a few days before. We were not going home without a ‘slide pool’. As we were walking out, I saw one sitting on a cart and asked if someone was buying it or if it was still for sale. Not only was it for sale, but it was the last one so they discounted it $120! The ‘slide pool’ is a blast! m176n

The only way I could convince Logan to come inside Saturday evening was showing her the matchy matchy octopus pajamas for her and Morgan. I couldn’t get a picture with the girls together, but they were both happy to take pictures with me. m176j

We ended the weekend with some fun on the slide pool with ‘the cousins’ (Logan knows their names but kept referring to them as ‘the cousins’). It was a little hot for Morgan, and she kept eating handfuls of grass, so we came inside and played. She kept grabbing my phone and putting it up to her face as close as she could and smiling really big. It still amazes me how quickly tiny humans can learn. m176q

We are leaving for a family vacation at the end of the week and will return the day before Morgan’s 1st birthday. Yes, ALREADY. I know, time does fly. I can’t wait to share pictures from our vacation. We are really looking forward to it!
