Mommy & Me-Take 12

This is what I hoped to be doing this weekend..relaxing on the couch with our sweet fur babies.

Friday the hubs dropped me off at work because he was playing in a charity golf tournament kind of close to downtown. The few times we have been able to carpool we have both really enjoyed. Unfortunately this time I forgot to give him the key fob, and he did not leave the house with his since I was already in the car with the keys in my purse. Usually Humphrey gives a warning when the key is not in range to be detected. Maybe Humphrey was sleepy Friday? Or maybe he just did not sense the change…not quite sure. When the hubs turned the car off (20 miles away from downtown) it was then he realized he did not have the key fob and Humphrey was not going to start again. A wonderful, sweet, kind co-worker friend happily took me to the hubs once we got off. Jenny, thank you over and over again! The best part—she did not even hesitate to go out of her way, on a Friday, when we get off early and she already had plans. People like her really make my heart happy.

Saturday the hubs business was sponsoring a fun run so I went to help pass out samples and take pictures. It was a really nice morning and the runners seemed to really have a great time. We were able to squeeze in a short nap, and then we got a phone call that the produce needed was not at the store. By this time, the weather had taken a complete turn and rain was pouring down. We had to go pick up the produce clear on the other side of town and fight traffic, rain and majorly flooded streets and highways. All I can think is Phew! We saw several cars floating, stranded, stalled and stopped and I am so glad we made it back to the store with the produce safely. Sunday the hubs and his friend put together Logan’s dresser (pictures to come in a later nursery post) and it is perfect! We can’t wait to finish her room. Sunday night (yes, Sunday) we had a wedding reception to attend and it was absolutely beautiful. With everything going on this weekend I can’t believe I didn’t snap a mommy and me picture, (me and the hubs looked pretty nice for the wedding last night too, and I don’t have a picture to share) so I snapped a selfie this morning, at work, in the rest room. m&m12

Tuesday we have our third hypnobirth class to discuss our fears, and Thursday I have the 1 hour glucose test (keeping my fingers crossed I pass so I don’t have to do the 3 hour test).

Mommy and Me Monday at Really, Are You Serious?

Hosted by Krystyn at Really, Are You Serious?

  1. Grandma P says:

You are so darn busy. Glad you put up posts so I can read about your happenings. Can’t wait to feel Miss L kicking.

  2. Sounds like a crazy weekend! I hope you get some time to rest soon. 🙂 Btw, we did Hypnobirthing and really loved it.

  3. I failed my 1 hour and passed my 3 hour with flying colors. I’m sure you’ll do fine!

  4. Hope you pass the first one. I did every time (whew!)

And, maybe you should pretend to put the key in the ignition to make sure you have it!

  5. Well duh! If it were me who needed a ride you wouldn’t hesitate either! Yes, I had boyz waiting, but they can just wait!
