This week we celebrated my 31st birthday. Before we went to dinner Logan and I took a selfie.
Logan was great at dinner, but the picture of her is on the Hubs phone which is currently soaking in a bag of rice. Whomp, whomp, whomp…water damage but part of me hopes it doesn’t recover so we can put it in Logan’s room.
After dinner, while I was feeding Logan, Leroy demanded a little mommy loving. Or maybe he was wishing me a happy birthday in his own way.
Only 2 more weeks before I return to work. I think I would be ready if we could get our sweet Milkshake to sleep. I am not asking for 8 hours at night, but a 3 or 4 hour stretch would be fabulous! Just two weeks ago she was sleeping 6 hours each night in her crib. She naps about 25 minutes, her eyes pop open and she is one unhappy baby until her next feeding. I feel like we’ve tried everything (swaddled, unswaddled, blackout curtains, white noise, soft music, silence, paci, no paci, swing, crib, rock n sleeper, Ergo, Moby, on her side, on her back, gas drops, tummy massages, nursing to sleep, rocking, not rocking…it does not matter-she does not sleep) so I ordered the No Cry Sleep Solution book and it should be here tomorrow. 4-6 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period is not enough for a 10 week old. Could it just be a phase? I guess that’s possible but it is progressively getting worse and worse every day, and I know how badly she needs the sleep while her body and brain are rapidly growing. It’s hard because I want these last two weeks of being with her 24/7 to be fun and enjoyable, and she is miserable and sleepy. Any advice, tips, suggestions or ideas that worked for other babies out there would be greatly appreciated.

Happy birthday!
We’ll get the sleep thing figured out.
And, rice? I wonder what waterbath his phone met?!?!
Do you need me to come move in? I seem to keep her from crying while I am there! 🙂
