Logan and I spent Saturday at Grandma’s house. In typical Grandma style she spoiled us with a delicious lunch (grilled cheese on rosemary potato bread—devine!) and after Logan’s nap (almost 3 hours!) we went to the Katy Rice Harvest Festival. I’m used to our jogging stroller but only brought the umbrella stroller since it takes up much less room. Not the best idea on a hot and sunny day becuase it doesn’t provide the shade the jogger does. We quickly applied lotion and Logan was a purple baby, but as long as she was protected from the sun all was right at the Festival.
We got a cherry and lemondae Italian Ice and Logan loved it. Her favortie part, getting it on her hands and feeding MommaE.
It was fun to see the crafts and homemade goodies on display. But it sure was HOT, like 90 degrees hot, in the middle of October! On our way to listen to some live music I saw the perfect prop for a Fall picture of our growing baby girl. Look at those yummy red lips from the Italian Ice. I want the black pumpkin…it was naturally like that. Very cool.
Thanks for a great Saturday, Grandma!

I had fun too but it was hot. Typical weather for the Rice Festival.
I’m jealous of that hand fed icee! It looks delicious!
And, I’m jealous of the rice harvest festival! Looks like a fun time!
