This weekend I was determined to get everything done since I will be 37 weeks Wednesday, and Logan can safely make her appearance anytime after that. Personally, I feel like she will be born August 2….not sure why, but that’s the date my gut tells me. The Hubs thinks she will be born very late in the month. It made me feel better to get all the running around done just in case. Saturday morning I went to Target and Babies-R-Us to exchange a few things and get the last of the must-haves before our Milkshake arrives. I may have gone a little overboard with sheets and pacifiers and changing pad covers, but they finally had all the styles I wanted. Then, I went to Aldi to make sure our house is stocked with fresh fruit and veggies. I took everything home, added the essentials to our semi-packed bags, unloaded the groceries and went to the Hubs store to help him with some new products. Later on, I decided all the laundry needed to be done because what baby wants to come home for the first time to a house with laundry baskets over flowing, or carpets not freshly vacuumed, or produce drawers not completely scrubbed clean? Nesting…maybe just a little. After all this I was ready to have a relaxing night with the Hubs. We went to Blockbuster and I was dressed like this:
36w3d (Riley’s sweet smile and Leroy’s lovely backside made an appearance in Mommy & Me this week, too.)
We were joking saying I looked like a high school basketball player…but I sure was comfortable. Men’s basketball shorts are amazing…wide waist band, longer length and loose fitting. The Hubs LOATHES my white and grey Old Navy maternity tanks…he says they look like singlets aka wife beaters, and it is his least favorite preggo look. The other colors or stripes he actually likes. Pairing this grey tank with his basketball shorts we couldn’t help but laugh.
We watched Silver Linings Playbook (great movie, but you don’t need me to tell you that) while we had McDonald’s for dinner. It was my one splurge this week, and I actually did pretty well. We didn’t even order french fries, but I did get snack size McFlurry, which I ate before my sandwich. If I waited it would have melted 🙂
you don’t have long to go and yes I was thinking nesting when I read this post. August 2nd is Aunt Theresa’s birthday.
Stopping over from Really, Are You Serious?
So exciting! I was definitely in my husbands clothes at that point in my pregnancies! And old navy tanks are the best! It sounds like nesting behavior to me. You might be right about early August. 🙂
PS. Tracy..this is my sister if you couldn’t tell:)
My old navy tank tops were SUPER comfortable, but not necessarily the cutest things I could have worn – and I stretched out one of Hubs tshirts so bad he let me “keep it”. 🙂
You look so cute!!! I know you can’t wait until your baby girl arrives.
You are so stinking tiny it’s unfair!
And, seriously, did I not tell you about the amazingness that is your husband’s workout clothes? Because I’m sure I did!
Hitting full term this week, how exciting!!! And wow, you are carrying so small. I am super jealous, you look great pregnant.
you look great preggo! I loved that movie too! Love all the nesting you are doing 🙂 Can’t wait to meet Logan! Not too much longer to wait!
